How to Refill or Auto Refill Your Account

Use Auto Refill (recommended)

We recommend using the Auto Refill option because we’ll refill your account before you run out. You won’t have to worry about insufficient funds or your balance expiring. There are two options:

 

  • Low Balance option: with this option, your account will automatically be refilled with the amount you select (same as voucher values) whenever your account balance is about to expire or if your balance falls below $1.
  • Recurring option: Ideal for those on a By the Month plan or with a monthly add-on. Auto Refill will charge your credit card for the amount of the monthly plan and/or add-ons on their respective due dates as they may be different. Combine it with the Low Balance option to cover pay-per-use fees and 9-1-1 charges.

Things to Know

  • The name and address of your prepaid account must match the information registered with your credit card’s financial institution.
  • You must be the primary cardholder.
  • The credit card must be issued by a Canadian financial institution. We aren’t able to accept Prepaid Visa, Visa Debit, Debit MasterCard, international and third party credit cards at this time.

How to register for Auto Refill

Before registering for Auto Refill you will need to register your credit card with Fido. You may complete this via a Fido store or by dialing *611. As well, to modify, or cancel Auto Refill, you will as well need to visit a store, or dial *611.

Or make a one-time refill

There are two ways to do a one-time refill. See below for your options:

Using your credit card

Register your credit card once and refill your account directly from your phone in a just a couple of easy steps. 

Step 1: Register your card by either visiting a Fido store, dialing *611 from your Fido phone or 1-888-482-3436 from any other phone than you Fido phone (airtime and long-distance rates may apply).  

Things to Know

  • The name and address of your prepaid account must match the information registered with your credit card’s financial institution.
  • You must be the primary cardholder.
  • The credit card must be issued by a Canadian financial institution. We aren’t able to accept Prepaid Visa, Visa Debit, Debit MasterCard, international and third party credit cards at this time.
  • Before doing a one-time credit card refill, you must first register your credit card with Fido by either visiting a Fido store, or dialing *611. 

Step 2: Choose from 2 easy ways to refill your account:

  1. Call *611 from your Fido phone or by dialing 1-888-482-3436 from any other phone than you Fido phone (airtime and long-distance rates may apply). Select 1 for the Refill menu, or
  2. Call one of the star codes from your Fido phone (the associated amount will be added to your account instantly)
    • Call the star code of your choice from your phone and you'll be immediately directed to the appropriate menu.
    • Enter your 4-digit PIN code (hint: we sent you a text with your PIN when you activated).
    • Confirm the transaction.

Redeeming a voucher

Prepaid airtime vouchers come in denominations of $10, $20, $30, $50 and $100 and can be purchased at all Fido points of sale and most drugstores, gas stations, convenience stores, electronics stores and post office locations

There are 2 options you can choose to refill your account with a voucher:

 

  • Call *868 From your Fido phone
    • Call *868 from your phone and you'll be immediately directed to the appropriate menu.
  • Log into My Account on fido.ca and enter your 14-digit secret number
    • Access the Refill Now button via the Overview page in My Account.
    • Then select the Redeem Voucher option.
    • Enter the 14-digit code that appears on your receipt when prompted
