THE ARTISTS

LIDO PIMIENTA

Lido Pimienta - colourful musician, singer, songwriter; she’s a one-of-a-kind artist (and proud Mama!). This acclaimed and unique rising star is of Afro-Colombian and Wayuu descent - combining Indigenous and Afro-Columbian styles in her eclectic and vibing music.

WITCH PROPHET

A seasoned singer, Witch Prophet is a living, breathing Hip Hop encyclopedia and one of the women behind Heart Lake Records. Find out what activates her spirited DNA and hear what it takes to make it in the Canadian music industry.

SHAY LIA

A Djiboutian-Canadian musician based in Montreal, she also happens to be on Michelle Obama’s playlist. Meet Shay Lia, taking the streaming charts by storm with her debut EP – Shay Lia has also supported Black artist campaigns – and openly celebrates and embraces curves and Black culture with and for all.

ELISAPIE

Celebrated Inuk singer and songwriter, Elisapie also happens to be a documentary filmmaker and activist who has taken her mission south, all the way down to Montreal. Rewriting Canadian culture with French, English and Inuk all heard through one voice, she also happens to enjoy democratizing femininity in both musical and visual arts.

JEREMY DUTCHER

Classically trained Indigenous tenor, composer and activist, Jeremy Dutcher is on a mission to make the languages and melodies of his people heard. As the embodiment of Wolastoq music and culture renaissance, this Two-Spirited human is also all about embracing and showcasing queer love and identity.

HAVIAH MIGHTY
